Obada Bakduness is an artist and Interior Design student at TH OWL in Detmold, Germany. His practice is driven by experimentation, playing with materials, creating and recreating forms, and exploring the processes behind art and design in ways that allow both disciplines to merge.
His journey in art and design began in 2023 through the development of self-initiated projects, motivated by the desire to expand his knowledge not only of design and artistic methods, but especially of himself and his personal way of translating ideas into something.
Imperfection forms the core language of his work.
“Transforming the perfect images we hold in our minds into reality is a complex and fragile process. It is a journey from thought to hand, where information can be lost, details shift, and ideas evolve or even collapse along the way. Through this process, outcomes are never perfect as first imagined, yet they become complete through their imperfections.”
